With all the Artist guitars Fender CS does, I can't understand why Micawber has missed out.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Could it be the Gibbo pickup in it? Not that they couldn't get around that easily enough, mind.

Still working for the V, that's for sure.

Maybe he doesn't want one?
My CS tele was dead on for Micawber, aside from having a proper tele bridge.

Mmm, I could go that surf green tele. Though I'd be pushing for a hummer in the neck (IB:JB)
Too many guitars, not enough talent.

I reckon an awesome guitar would be a hybrid of the LP junior we saw on the first page and a strat. Maybe P90/stratpup/P90? what do you think ash?

Certainly can be done. A P90 with two single coils has always struck me as a useful strat format. These days it's not that hard to get P90 or HB sounding pickups in a strat size, though.

I haven't posted in here yet because:

a) As if I'd be able to pay for the guitar I described and
b) I was going to describe a strat, but from what Ash said, he wants to do a stratty strat, and I want something different.

But since everyone's just asked for a tele, I might as well.

I'd love to riff on the idea of that relic'd strat, but HH, with a Super D and a PAF Joe (since Ash had such good things to say about them in that other thread), and with a Floyd. I know that sounds like an anathema to some people, but it brings together everything I'm looking for in a guitar right now. Then again, I'm not married to the relic finish either, could happily have something like a dark metallic magenta (sounds daft, but I can't describe the colour in my head better than that), but if I was going black and white, I'd want something to set it more apart. Mind you, I'm also loving the Adrian Smith sig Jackson looks at the moment, could happily go white with black pickguard, maple board. Mmmmm. 8)

23 of the first 100 are teles (or pretty much teles).

22 of the last 50 are teles (or pretty much teles). It's accelerating!
