I had a flatmate with one in the mid 90s. She bought it 2nd hand, so not sure how old it was or where it was made. Had a nice neck on it, found it really easy to play. Was a bit lacking in bass though.

I think you're supposed to use something called a guitar strap. ;)

That very special, metallic rubber band tone.
Now that DW is making them, I forsee a promising future as gong hammers.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Wow, that is some bold design work right there... But yeah, I actually quite like that bass. Not so sure about the flying v-drop. Reminds me of the god-awful Gibson Futura of the 80s:

Good lord, that is hideous. It's like they were designed by people on acid.

I actually knew someone who owned one of those Gibsons, and if you can believe it, it actually played worse than it looked. Truly an odious beast. Worst neck drop I've ever encountered. Balanced like a deaf one-legged alcoholic elephant...

I was openly an Ovation owner when the stigma against them on here was at fever pitch. So many black bottom jokes.
