Jansen reissues
Anyone played/owned any of these? Looking for a second guitar, something quirky, and wondering what these are like.

I was in weta guitars in Wellington the other day. He’s got a couple that he’s tweaked. Pretty good actually

Re: Jansen reiss
I tried one, it played well, but I couldn’t help thinking I was just playing a fake copy. Then again I used to own the old ones in the ‘60s so I am somewhat biased.

I guess they are fake copies, but then most reissues are really. Were the old ones any good?Rog wrote:I tried one, it played well, but I couldn’t help thinking I was just playing a fake copy. Then again I used to own the old ones in the ‘60s so I am somewhat biased.

New ones are worth the money.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Interestingly. Mel from Weta and I were chatting about Jansens and the infamous mr dench. He was saying that when Denche was in completist mode collecting every Jansen model, denche commissioned him to make up some bodies to go with old necks and parts Denche had to make up examples.
