The Arps Chronicles.
I'm really chuffed with mine. And I'll tell you why. All things Arps right here.
OK, I've had this for a while and as the second photo shows, changes have begun ( Take another sip Lawrence...big one.. there you go.)
I can't really explain my enthusiasm for Korina solidbodies, I just like them as a general rule. A bit darker than Alder or Ash but with really good sustain.
I also have a thing for the single P90 vibe so it was all looking quite promising from the start.
Once my esteemed friend Mr. Oleg provided me with a fine old Mighty Mite P90, we were on the right track.
Those aren't my chicken knobs. I want some. Help!!!
I like chicken knobs for this sort of guitar because your tone and gain variations are all in the knobs and you know at a glance where you are.
The switch is disconnected but I wonder about using it as a tone pot bypass. Any opinions?
I like the feel of this wee thing a lot and the sound is exactly what I was craving. What surprises me is the neck. It's quite shallow. In other words, everything Slowy avoids. But I'm happy playing this. True, after an hour or so there's a deep ache in the base of my left thumb (the reason I avoid little necks) but the hour spent earning it is worth every throb.
It's starting to find its place in my band projects, leaving me with another bloody guitar to lug around.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: The Arps Chronicles.
Also have chicken heads if needed.
Slim necks - yep, I'm also enjoying them recently. I still think the .87 to .97" R9 type neck is ideal, with a subtle V, but I'm also enjoying anything from .81 to say .90" necks presently. Could be my Dupuytren's contracture on my left hand starting to make life difficult.

How would that look from a circuit point of view?

Re: The Arps Chronicles.
Use the Yamaha Revstar Dry switch circuit. Premier Guitar had an article about the circuit which I have posted in the past
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

kia ora whanau
Slowy you're a legend! Glad you like the gat.
here is a piece of the chronicle. A few weeks back we gathered to celebrate Morris Taylor who was not well, and has since died from cancer. Lots of people played at the gig and donated cash for him and his family. I volunteered this but he insisted that the proceeds went to the Hospice.
We raised $1500.pp for the Hospice. feels good RIP Morris - great player, great guitar tech.
