I can't reallt choose one option on that poll. I like the standard strat layout - but only a master tone; I will never understand not having a bridge pup tone control However, I also like having more various tones available - such as on my other guitars, with series parallel, and in/out of phase combinations and individual pickup switches. Guess I'll just have to always have more than one guitar

yeah. I mean... I really would prefer to have only one guitar - preferably a really crappy one (say a Tom DeLonge Samick ) - but I guess I'll just have to accept having lots of guitars, and I suppose I'll put up with them being playable too.

The Customs people tell me body cavities are good for so much more than simple acoustic fatness....Polar Bear wrote:I like having all the options in one guitar with the advatage of body cavities for that semi acoustic fatness :D

I have these groovy 5-way pickup switches for 2 humbuckers that give this arrangement:Tsuken wrote: I also like having more various tones available - such as on my other guitars, with series parallel, and in/out of phase combinations and individual pickup switches.
Neck series - Neck parallel - Neck inner coil + Bridge inner coil - Bridge inner coil - Bridge series.
And another that gives the PRS array of single coil/HB combinations.
They pretty much do away with the need for pull pots and extra switches in my opinion. The nice thing is, the first one is an Ibanez unit that costs the same as a standard 5-way

You modified a sacred vessel - gasp - a US strat??
For shame - Leo will definately not now receive you into his kingdom when you pass on but you will be forced to lie with the poor, smelly and afflicted (Solo mums, ethinic minorities and those on a less then $60,000 median income/living in Wainuiomata) in the deep pit with naught but a 'awesome, collectible and rare vintage guitar' from trade me to keep you company while the 'dogges will lycke your feete'.
We will weep for you O Brother!
