I discovered that tuning through the song "Name" by Goo Goo Dolls. It gives a really nice 12 stringish sound on a 6 string.dc wrote:I use DADAAD, which means tuning the G up to A.

It's a beautiful tuning, great resonance. It's taken me to all sorts of places.
I put a finer string on the G, and tune the whole thing down half a step and it's sweet. At concert pitch I was constantly breaking the G.
