Feel free to say 'of course you are going to say that' ... but that's bollocks.
I have a Deluxe Rockbag for my acoustic that I have had for over ten years. When I was gigging, it was in and out of the car and gigs once or twice a week. The only merest stretch of a seam is by the handle. No tearing or falling apart - perfectly robust. The price on them is $55.
I have one of the cheap economy elec guitar ones we do at $25 for two years ... and except where I cut it with a craft knife by mistake. It's fine.
I also have mini bass guitar bag (I have a half size Samick Bass for my wife) - over 8 years old but bugger all use. Perfectly fine.
I also have a keyboard bag that I have had for 5 years that carries my heavy shit - 2 x mic stands, 2 x guitar stands, mic case, black cover sheet and something else. Which was used every gig I played (best week was 8 gigs with the countrty band). Can't remember what the price is on it.
So you can see that I have some personal experience with 4 Rockbags that I own and have done for a while.
Which means that saying Rockbags tear at the seams within a month or a few months is exaggerating at the very least. I've been at the RS for 13 years ... never had a bag returned for that. Did have one returned for a guy where the handle ripped off but he wasn't using it for carrying a 76 note keyboard - he was using it for his drum hardware and exceeding the weight limit by 5 times.
If they did tear at the seam with in a month, people would be returning them in droves. And they aren't.
In fact I am so confident that if you get a Deluxe Rockbag at $55 ... and it tears at any seam within 12 months. I'll replace it. NZRS_Matt will back me up.
Yup - that's me and my pal Steve or little stevie vai as I like to call him. In Auckland airport when I was 26. I'm not 26 anymore.
