The rear one splits the humbucker. The front one runs both pups through a different cap. This gives it the tone of a half cocked wha.

Thought I'd better post a picture since this thread is supposed to have "Pics"
So that's my work desk in the home office and the Jnr is very close at hand, in fact it's actually plugged into the side of my keyboard.
(I'm doing some work at the moment so my work Mac is out as well as my own one, and the one on the floor is one I'm getting ready for the new guy starting at work on Monday.)

is that a single pickup?
It reminds me of the 80'sish Gibson Les Pauls that were like plywood thin - but with 1 "bridge" single coil and just a volume knob..
no hum - super silent.
really nice.

Yep it's a single humbucker in the bridge, and a really lovely minimalist wraparound bridge, tone and volume.SimpleSi wrote:

I think it's normal thickness, and it's a solid chunk of tonewood, and a pretty chunky neck (but I've got very used to it even though I was sceptical when I first got it).

I don't tend to have a guitar in arms reach. The acoustic maybe? But my go to is the Charvel, even though it lives in its case.

A wise move Hamish, was very glad after the earthquakes here that mine were all in cases, one had a full bookcase fall on it and although the case was stuffed the guitar was untouched!

Shit, good move! The pirate sits on the stand since I have only a soft case for it, but I could happily take the insurance money for that one.jeremyb wrote:A wise move Hamish, was very glad after the earthquakes here that mine were all in cases, one had a full bookcase fall on it and although the case was stuffed the guitar was untouched!

I feel a bit guilty about not keeping my stuff in cases. But it's so nice seeing them all in their racks.jeremyb wrote:A wise move Hamish, was very glad after the earthquakes here that mine were all in cases, one had a full bookcase fall on it and although the case was stuffed the guitar was untouched!
