Thats my old guitar, I did the rewire and pot upgrade the last photo is mine too, on my bedroom carpet.

If it's a good player example of a Les Paul style guitar, it's a bargain.

Thanks for that. Well, I guess $1,000 is OK but not a mega bargain. Just figured a Japanese made P90 Gold Top was as good as I'll get until I can afford / find a R-something or other. It certainly looks nice in the pics and the upgrades help.

Got any more pics in your archive? The Flikr link is long-dead :-(

Its a great guitar, I think rrp was around $1300 at the time but I got it cheap as they were finishing up their business.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

"A testament to obsession with detail" - but wait, what's that, the tail piece studs are in the wrong position? Amongst other things that would be easy to fix. $8.5K USD. Ouch. You can buy old wood for that price.
