Saw this Gibson LP on Custom on TM. It's pretty horrible. Only $9K.

Beats me why someone would ever pay more than $2.5k for it. Any anyone who is feeling like challenging me with usual line "the market will decide and value is only what someone is willing to pay for it" can lick my sweaty balls.

I got to say, fugly aside, I like the idea of a maple board on a Les Paul.

Baked maple. Best of both worlds.

not really when half the point of maple is the "tone" and the other is the look

personally I would rock that LP for the right price...just needs the headstock done in the same colour though

Not that I'll ever be in the market for a 9k guitar, but I reckon that looks great.

It's a cool colour (even though I've no idea what it is), but the maple is a bit weird, and the black pickup rings look a little out of place.
Would not hoon for 9g.

A maple necked LP would be cool! Looks like they kind of half-arsed on that one though. Needs the headstock matching, and yeah, black pickup surrounds look wrong.
