2015 PRS McCarty just arrived last week. The nice weather on the weekend demanded a few pics in the sun. Happy days!!

That is very nice. I'm a fan of the McCarty model, it just seems to have a more robust and warm tone to me.

Couldn't resist, eh mate?! I thought you might buy that new McCarty 594 that Rockshop has just got in... only $7,300.

Squinting to see... 58/15 pickups?

Sure is a nice piece of wood - that grain is very eye catching.

That's too rich for me, I can't justify 7k+... and yes they are 58/15's - really nice!!

Yep, my P245 semi-hollow has 58/15's, I really like them.

Very nice. How does it compare to the 245?

Also, in PRS circles, is this what constitutes a 'heavy relic'?

Lovely! What a stunner.

Interesting that PRS have started putting binding on fretboards and winding pickups to 50s era specs - has Paul run out of new ideas? He seems to be pandering more to the Gibson market...

Differences between McCarty and SC245:

1. Body shape & placement of pickup selector
2. 25" scale vs 24.5"
3. Wrap around bridge vs 2 piece bridge
4. Single volume and tone vs controls for each pickup
5. Pickups on opsguys SC245 are the previous 57/08's (both models changed in 2015 to 58/15's).

Very nice, lovely top on that. Like the way it gradually darkens as it goes up. Had major gas for a Custom 24 the last few months.
