NGD Marlique Delux (yeah i know lol)

Post by Olderama »

Hi all

Dropped 147 bucks on this and wasnt expecting much

well its spec is

WOOD BODY

Marlique’s bodies made of 2 or 3 solid pieces of nyatoh, kiln dried and glued together. This construction minimizes warping without sacrificing the tone. Curly maples are applied as the top with special treatment to pop up the beauty of the wood. Some series are custom hand painted. Polyurethane is used as the standard finishing material.

Body thickness is 45 mm, with balanced design, feel good on your shoulder. Overall weight is 4 to 4.5 kgs.
NECK

All Marlique’s necks are made of 3 pieces of nyatoh or maple glued together to make a strong and stable neck. Wood grains are aligned each other to ensure the stability. These three pieces neck blanks stored for at least 1 month. The three pieces construction and 1 month storage is the key of Marlique’s necks stability.

On Standard and Deluxe models, necks are joint to the body with glue (set neck). This construction improve sustain and better access to the high frets. On Ridho Hafiedz Signature Series, necks are joint with bolts for easy repair.

Fretboards are made of sonokeling (Indian rosewood). 12’ radius for Standard and Deluxe models, and 14” radius for Signature Series. Neck width is 1 11/16 “ on the nut and 2 3/16 “ on the 22nd fret. Neck thickness is 20.5 mm on the 1st fret and 22.5 mm on the 12th fret for Standard and Deluxe models, 21.5 mm on the 1st fret and 22.5 mm on the 12th fret for Ridho Hafiedz Signature Series.

All the models using Medium fret wires, 22 frets each neck. 25.5 inch scale length. Headstock angled at 12 degrees.

Double action truss rod is used on the current production.

TESLA Plasma III “Special” pickups for bridge and neck.

so how does it play i dunno yet not had chance to plug it in
but new strings on and a tweak and its nice and resonant
frets are a worn but not fretting out all in all worth it id say

Well
How was it? The specs look fine for the price. The tesla coils would have had high output.

Where do you find these deals? Good score.

(p.s. it's not often you see "Jackson" and "untouched" in the same sentence.)
