Wow! I bet it sounds as sexy as the year.Polar Bear wrote:My current number one. 1969 Les Paul.
Definitely a keeper!GrantB wrote:‘99 R9 - Anniversary year.
So that's how you lost the junior. Nice, they're great guitars. Does it have the see through bobbin P90's?Polar Bear wrote:My current number one. 1969 Les Paul.
Many, many pounds/KGs. I don't have scales at home, but it's a beast.doppleganger wrote:Polar Bear wrote:My current number one. 1969 Les Paul.

How's the weight on this beauty?
looks great - do you play it on stage with Zephyr?Polar Bear wrote:Many, many pounds/KGs. I don't have scales at home, but it's a beast.doppleganger wrote:Polar Bear wrote:My current number one. 1969 Les Paul.

This is indeed how I lost the Junior, straight swap. It's more like Grandad's axe, not a lot of original bits on it. It had some high gain Seymour Duncan p90s in there when I got it, but I've swapped them out for some Antiquities when I did a rewire on it. Whilst it's a bit of a mongrel, I love it, and despite the weight will happily play it for a 4 hour gig.Dharmajester wrote:Polar Bear wrote:My current number one. 1969 Les Paul.

Its always amazing when guitarists whinge about weight when bass players are just expected to do itPolar Bear wrote: I love it, and despite the weight will happily play it for a 4 hour gig.
That surprises me. Bet it's not that heavy compared to some.Polar Bear wrote: Many, many pounds/KGs. I don't have scales at home, but it's a beast.
also... if you're worrying about the weight, you're not enjoying the gig lolBg wrote:Its always amazing when guitarists whinge about weight when bass players are just expected to do itPolar Bear wrote: I love it, and despite the weight will happily play it for a 4 hour gig.
