Its definitely a step in the right direction compared to the last few years attempts at trying something new.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Turns out the green one is a Les Paul...

Actually looking at the photo above, the lower horn is too small, and the upper horn is too fat at the bottom. However not so ugly you want to vomit on one.

Don't mind the shape but I think it should have had a V headstock on it.

That classic Gibson Les Paul headstock shape carries a lot of conservative appeal...

True, It looks out of place on that guitar to me though. And I do love V's and their headstocks.

My only gripe is the control placements. P/up selector is tucked away down under like a womens fanny, and the tone (assuming that's what it is) is unnecessarily distanced from it's volume cousin.
Everything else is kosher IMO.

As opposed to a man's fanny.Clanger wrote:My only gripe is the control placements. P/up selector is tucked away down under like a womens fanny...

It's not that far from this, which I had always liked...

Serious question: Are those anything more than a tonally limited Les Paul?GrantB wrote:It's not that far from this, which I had always liked...
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

^I've always liked the LP Standard Double Cuts. Not a fan of the new design.
Whats that one 5th from left, first glance looked like a yamaha SG rip, but looks possibly too big, so maybe one of those semi hollow ones?sizzlingbadger wrote:

Re: oh no get ready for the bashing gibson
'Looks ok' and 'PRS vibe' were my first impressions of the photo. Trawling through the memory bank I think the horns look about the same as an Ibanez Roadcore. A guitar I've never seen in the wild. Which maybe doesn't bode well.
