Newbies #1: Relic'd 'Strat'

So I picked this one up a couple of months ago and have to say it's now become my go-to guitar. Don't really have any info about the body, so if anybody recognises it please feel free to chime in.

When I got it, it had a new neck on it which to me just didn't feel or look right. Decided that I'd switch it with the played-to-death neck from my '96 Strat...



Final touch was to add the missing decal to the headstock

Yeah it is! Looks pretty good though, much better than the photos show.

Has Fender USA pickups in it which is also partly why I got it, figured it should sound at least half decent. Tonally it's surprisingly un-stratty, has its' own kind of voice but very resonant even acoustically. As Molly would say, "she's a keeper."

The body looks like a (copy of a) Fender SRV relic. If you find a very resonant Strat, keep it: never mind what parts it is made from.
