Re: Signature guitars: your top 3?..
I'd go for 3 different Les Paul signature models;
55 wrap around bridge P90 gold top, 58 TV finish double cut jr, 59 burst standard. That is all. The Cornell 335 and Tweedy SG are pretty sweet too though.

1935 Martin D-45, 1942 Gibson Southern Jumbo,1950 Fender Broadcaster, 1954 Fender Strat, 1958 Gibson Moderne prototype, 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard.
1958 Fender twin, 1965 Vox AC30, 1966 Marshall JTM 45, 1977 Dumble OD Special.
Big black garbage bag full of original Klon Centaurs and TS808s.

Was waiting for someone to list that one. Watched the Andertons episode with JP last week, amazing attention to detail on those guitars drawn from 30-odd years of playing live. I like the originality and functionality of them.KNNZ wrote:EB John Petrucci Majesty
As a sidenote his signature Mesa Boogie sounded killer too, I love his chorusey clean sound. Never realised he hates reverb and hasn't used any for decades ?!

The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I prefer a low key delay over reverb - reverbs often add tones I don't enjoy.Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:Was waiting for someone to list that one. They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Rory Gallagher Strat
Derek Trucks SG, there was/is one in the K'Rd Rockshop when I visited in April, on special, but still not cheap enough. sigh.
I thought there was a Johnny Winter Signature Firebird but when I went looking I found this, and while I wouldn't normally go for something like this but in this case I might

Edit: there is a JW Sig Firebird: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ ... ric-guitar

Les Paul
Les Paul that was renamed to SG
Ibby S series (sig and plain S). Only locking whammy gats I have ever got on well with. Lacked sustain I am used to tho
Had a sig wah. A ZW. Hated it. Too harsh for my taste.
Had a sig amp. Marshall 1959RR. I say no more.

A play on words, or words on play
Last chapter, verse in the final act
Words well scripted, each sentence choking
Inaudible gag, blanket which suffocates
As you eat another's words
Malnourished, you starve.

Guthrie's is a lovely guitar... but that first one is a stunner. What/whose is it? Lovely flame on it that's for sureZaulkin wrote:
