Guitars you have regretted selling

Knowing my luck there has probably been a thread already posted in the past . but time to fess up

Last year when I joined this forum I kept saying that I would never sell my 94 Mexican Fender squire that I had got done up, well I did it and regretted it. My mind was at ease when the new buyer turned up to collect it and it turned out to be Kevin Fogarty from the knobz, I also sold my laney cub head and jet city cabinet which I kind of don't regret as I have a bit of a plan up my sleeve on that matter, at least I did not sell the jackson which is still a work in progress. upside it has made me play my acoustic a lot more

The only one I miss is a 2001 G&L ASAT special. It was one of the best sounding guitars (for my personal taste) I've ever heard, and it was super nice to play, although I would have liked smaller frets. I gave it to a friend who is a great muso and was starting a family and couldn't afford a decent guitar.

He passed on his beginners grade squire to someone else and so everyone felt the love. I don't regret giving it away at all, but I missed it a lot, until I got a Rickenbacker, which is at least as good as the G&L for my purposes.

I regret getting my Warwick bass stolen. I don't regret selling the subsequent Yamaha 5 string.
My first acoustic I sold to a guy who was so stoked for it, so I couldn't regret that either.

I wish I still had my '83 Gold Top. I sold it and then managed to get it back and then stupidly sold it again. I also miss my '76 Les Paul Deluxe that I did a restore job on, it was pretty beaten up but it played so well.

Ive not been fortunate enough to have had many guitars, the two i have are keepers no matter what. My LP has had two foiled attemps at being stolen and its old so it stays, my personalised Tele i put together so it stays. Only thing i regret selling in the past was an Ibanez ATK 5 string active bass, that thing was killer.

I had an Ibanez RG7321 7 string, which was probably the most bottom of the range 7 strings by Ibanez, but there was just that something about it that I loved, I regretted selling that for years! Then three years ago I started looking at getting another 7 string but found an Ibanez Iron Label 8 string in the process which I landed up buying, it completely makes up for selling the 7 string.

I dont know why I bought the 8 string as I couldnt even play the 7 string properly to begin with, but there is just something about it.

Jackson RR V. I didn't sell it, as I don't sell guitars, but it was another case of giving to a mate to look after for a bit and never seeing again, like my first 5150.

Great for stabbing singers that were taking up a little too much stage real estate.
