Strings from WISH . com

So was told there were elixer strings for sale on this website for $7nzd plus shipping...
Distributor cost is way more than that so out of curiosity we ordered a dozen sets.
They are chinese fakes! (not surprised) - not even coated.

I bought some Fender ones from a dude who bought off there. Told him they were fake and to stay away.

Reported it to Fender too so they could try and deal with breach of trademark.

My wife just discovered Wish, looks very much like AliExpress in NZD and with fake "was $xxx" tags to hook the naive.

I wouldn't buy brand names from Ali, same applies to Wish.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I'll always support my local store for stuff like leads, strings etc. For the sake of buying online and possibly saving a few dollars I'd rather give my money to the people that have always looked after me. For me that's Hornby Rockshop; I know firsthand how hard retail is - I'd like to think that if we all got our strings from a shop, collectively that would make a difference.
