Abasi Guitars

Post by jeremyb »

Tosin, ever the innovator, coming out with his own guitar company, epic!

Ola Englund has his own brand "Solar Guitars" now too, I wonder if this will be the future, small batch boutique guitars from artists rather than traditional signature models thru the big brands?

Interesting situation given that Ibanez made his prototypes. I'm sure he's pissed them off no end.

It's an ugly mother. Cool features though.

personally not a fan of "djent" styled guitars..

I'm more of a traditionalist with shapes.

My guess is that they were cool to make a few one off customs for him but probably didn't want to make thousands of that weird gat and end up with lots of dead stock.

Yeah I kinda don’t really see the point in it? I mean, cool if he wants to make his own guitar and stuff, but how many people are really gonna go out and get one of these things? Call me close minded if you will

They do look kind of progressive. I have nothing against the idea of him making the company but... yeah they don't look ... good.

I really like them, but I'm a big fan of ergonomic guitars, I think these look awesome and I'd love a 6 string one :)

the look of them for me is ok, have seen a lot worse. The issue I have is the price point they are talking about. I think Ola's are half the price aren't they? For their target market it seems they are limiting sales potential....mind you all his fans are probably rich IT capitalists anyway....they love that "math" guitar thing

Ola's are just a basic super strat which can be churned out by the ton by existing factories, Tosin's require way more human intervention, they're more of a custom build that just happens to use CNC to maintain precise dimensionality of parts :)
