I used to own a Dusey Double Cat with their Trem and now have a couple of Teles with Bigsby B5s. Although they look virtually the same the Dusey Trem seems way more refined and the action is smoother. Not sure how they did it but it’s just a lot nicer to use!

Nope, that's generous. It's 1950s Chrysler vs 2010's Porsche (but in the style of 1920's America)

OK, so we're getting somewhere.
What I have is this:

What I envision is this:

So, If I've got this right, the problem is the stop tail stud holes. Mine has them, a factory fitted Trem model doesn't. So installing the standard Diamond Deluxe Trem will leave my stud holes (ib:jb) exposed?

I don't want my stud holes exposed. :(

So I have to either use the short Diamond Deluxe and base plate which is very spendy, or a LesboTrem which will look, truncated? Weird? Wrong? Cool? Better than the big one?

I have no idea! :problem:

Correct. Those are your options.

Les Trem is the easiest and cheapest:

I guess you could plug the tailpiece studs but it would be a mission patching the finish over the top them.

What's the Diamond Deluxe look like - a Tele style one on a vibramate base kinda thing? That would look better.

Bigsby on that would just look rude though.
May as well route it for a jazzmaster trem - at least you can pull the wobstick right round to where it’s supposed to be.
