How to route a binding?

Post by Reg18 »

Rainy day today so I finally got around to striping my Tele
,It was a good thick coat of Poly Lacquer by the looks and the sparkle seemed to have its own layer adding to the thickness even more.
After some consideration I think it will look really good with a top binding (or even a double binding) but I don’t have the rabbit router bit and I’ve never done anything this skilled on my router.
Does anyone have a router bit I could borrow?
And what sort of binding do I need?
I see there is 0.020”- 0.060” width and multi ply as well.

Anyone in CHCH that can do it?
Apart from Peter Stephens?
