Neck gap, just aesthetic issue. At least you have somewhere to store a baguette for those longer sets.
Ben’s already approved me using the gap as a spare room for the in-laws while I’m replacing the frets on it.

I’ll have to move the Camira- you’ll need to get the Torana out so I can get to the Commodore.

That's really nice Ben, I love the block inlays they used during that time. Well done!

Put that neck gap in the fitness and ultra marathon thread. Thinking I might run from one side to the other to train for the Kepler. Is there mobile reception at the base?

Update!

It's back from being refretted and has a swanky new aged mint pickguard
Image

And yes, I'm aware of how grimy my deck is.

The ageing on the guard is more grime than actual fading, and it's not a great fit, but it looks waaaaaaaaaay better than the tort guard. It's playing like a dream now too.

I've also restored the original bridge pickup and put that back in.

Before:

Dismantled and petrified foam removed:

After, with nice long wires:

This is a massively percussive sounding guitar- the pickups have a really ballsy thwack to them. It's also bright enough to surgically remove any unsuspecting faces. Liberal use of the tone control is essential.

Yeah, it's a brute

The odd thing is that the previous owner had put a Jackson pickup in it.

I reckon newcomers to Jags don’t realise how important the tone control is (unlike every other guitar they own where everything is dimed)
