Hi all

Had to change strings on my new Washburn that popped up today

Up until tonight I always approached a restring on a Floyd by doing it one string at a time
No majors but took a while
So I changed tack and did the whole lot at once
Loaded them all in the bridge and then strung them up
It seemed quicker and less stress ect

I just like to say I fucking Love Floyd Roses and to me outclass the Ibanez Bridges

I take all the strings off. Then I can clean the fretboard at the same time

Both ways, depending if i need to clean fret-board. I'll block the trem if I take all of the strings of though.

yeah can be a bit of pissing around to be done but meh...floyds rule

Elixirs so you don't have to change them often, and always one string at a time

i hate floyds,but then i dont play much lead at all these days and the only strings i bend are the wound ones....

All at once, it's a piece of cake

Normally all at once so I can clean the fretboard. I'll block the trem to keep it mostly level.

I did mine all at once, was easy, I block the trem with a small piece of wood to make it even easier. Intonation only needs to be done once unless you change string brands/gauges a lot.

My less hassle way of dealing with this issue is to list the strings on trademe. Along with the bridge and guitar. And a case if possible.

Seems less hassle than changing them.

I prefer the Pink variation of Floyd.
