Bolt on guitar shapes

Post by AiRdAd »

Hey guys,

I'm going to get some guitar bodies made up. They'll be something that can fit a standard tele or strat neck.

Instead of going for a straight tele, jazzmaster, strat, super strat shape - are there any guitars that you can think of that are sort of based on these shapes but a bit different? Or something that is just a bit different, but would work well with a bolt-on tele or strat neck.

Here's one of the shapes I've chosen:

A firebird with a jazzmaster trem is definitely on my gas list.

I like the Deimel shapes too- kind of a slimmed down non-reverse Firebird.

Reverend shapes?

Some cool old teisco and harmony shapes too

I've looked at the non-reverse firebird/tele's and they look a bit 'off,' so I'll check out the Deimel ones :-)

Don't forget, the heal of a Strat neck is more rounded than a Tele so they're not always swapable.

the ESP potbelly is a great looking guitar
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.
