Wondered about a plate under the bridge of my hardtail Strat for that very reason.

LP 22 frets
Hamer Calli (27frets 3 way neck/bridge)
PRS 24 frets (5 way rotary)
strat 22 or 21 frets
Ibanez Concert (if your gonna play something as large as a 335 it may as well be made of solid maple)
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Too predictable.

'59 LP - original or RI...not fussy 8)
ES-335 - also '59 spec
'54 LP Custom w/staple
Jazzmaster
Duo Jet - ideally '57 with Pat Applied For Filters OR nice Tele

The two guitars I'd want to have would be:

Gibson Les Paul
Fender Strat

I could easily get by with those two, but as a luxury, I'd probably also like:

Fender telecaster
Peavey Wolfgang or a second Les Paul
An offset like a Fender Jag or Jazzmaster

This pretty much sums up my approach, feel rather than tone.If i still had a thumb id say exactly as above but 25.5" instead of Gibbo.Now- anything 25.5".
Seems that grey area between clean and dirty is a bog that ensnares lots of guitarists.

Mostly guitars I've acquired fortunately! Couple of Gibsons, couple of Fenders and a Martin. Or something like that. I'd like an old Gretsch DJ like Grantb's but I can't see that happening for a looooong time ha!
