Yes Lawrence, factory instruments. If you had to pick favourites among your custom builds then a whole bunch (13?) of them would be upset. Bit like the favourite child or a songwriter's favourite song.
to be fair, yours are a lot nicer looking than most factory jobbies.

Ultimately though, guitars are like women. On paper there's not much difference but only a few can make you happy.

That's about all my bases covered. Out of my current others, I'd keep the Doozy Caribou and probably the ES-137 but could actually live without them. Turns out I don't need an offset (sorry JM Jag) or all-trick pony (sorry Vox Virage)...and the rest are really repeats on the theme...
Amp combinations are another thing again. For myself I’ve found the 6V6/6V6 based amps I like with humbuckers leaving the single coil with EL84/ 34s. Of course not always a given but rule of thumb for me.
LOL. I know but, coincidentally, I was just watching a Matthew Scott video then a Philip Sayce one and thinking how, as much as it's nice to have other guitars, I could happily get by with one really good Strat. Problem is, I don't think I've found 'the' Strat yet.

Yeah I hear you. Sayce got lucky, he's had his couple of guitars for many many years and you don't often see him playing much else. Occasionally he'll swap the neck on on one of them, but I think even the reasoning for him doing that was with all of the traveling he was doing and the CITES restrictions (think it was when he put a maple neck on his 'Mother' Strat).
