Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics -> implementation
I’ve done this in the past with a hand chisel! It was not pretty, but it was invisible once the guard is fitted and if it had any effect on the tone, I certainly could not hear it.
(I would not do this now).

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics -> implementation
I have used a compressed air die grinder, router bit and course steel bits, chisel for finishing if needed. All free hand, you know, like playing guitar.
2024; I have explored the extent of the perimeter dome, there is no escape. I am become Morpheus

You are quite safe, I think I was suffering from an acute lack of judgement at the time. I still have that Strat body in my spares box. I'm too ashamed to try to sell itIMOCD wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 2:40 pm...as I casually glance across and wonder about the HSS strat I bought off you.olegmcnoleg wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 2:35 pm I’ve done this in the past with a hand chisel! Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Strat bridge humbucker aesthetics -> implementation
Cool, I've done freehand with no issues in the past, shallow cuts etc.
I've also had a router grab and make a fucking mess.... if I'm doing freehand, I'll stick a straight edge on to guide nowadays You only fuck up the once
