I leave them on. Helps stop me from palm muting and accidentally playing teh brootz on my vintage strat.
1935 Martin D-45, 1942 Gibson Southern Jumbo,1950 Fender Broadcaster, 1954 Fender Strat, 1958 Gibson Moderne prototype, 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard.

10-46 in Standard tuning and 11-49 for Eb. D'Addario EXL110 and EXL115 basically.

The band I'm currently in practices at the drummers house. He's 40, lives alone and has that whole overflowing ashtray, yellowed sheets, cockroaches vibe going on. It's fucking disgusting and needless to say I touch NOTHING in his house.

Purely in the pursuit of knowledge this is a genuine question for those that selected "YES it improves the amplified tone".
To your ear in what way did the tone improve?
