Happy New Guitar Day!

Post by ash »

Darkness's turn...

Ash Heilo Custom:

Image

Mahogany body
Flame maple carved top
Maple neck with carbon fibre laminations

Image

Padauk fretboard with mother of pearl blocks and a paua accent in the 12th fret inlay
22 jumbo frets, graphtech nut
Gotoh SG301-MG locking machineheads

Image

Gotoh VS100N trem with graphtech saddles
Rio Grande Texas/BBQ humbucker
5-way switch/volume/tone

Image

Some of the shots you can just see the violet pearl ghost flames behind the main flames. The whole thing is quite dynamic in sunlight, but the camera just can't replicate it.

Yes, Yes I am. 8)

It's been a long time coming, but by god I absolutely love it. As soon as Ash said it was done I pretty much went up there and got it  I will be testing it out over the next few days to get the feel for it.

And I think the name that I decided on fits. It will be dubbed "The Harlot" :D
AFK.

Nice. The "flames" blend really well with the natural edge. Looks great! Well worth the wait I'm sure. Mine was ;)

Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.
