Someone can have my spot. My laptop is not really up to the task. I really need to either upgrade it or get a better one now that it's a coupla years old and kinda getting crappier and crappier... and this is only a month or so after a reformat :S

"All you do is import the backing track into whatever multitrack software you're using and record yourself on another track. When you're done you mix (or "bounce") the two tracks down to a new Mp3 file and then upload it back up onto the thread for the next person."

Ohhhhhhhhhh ok so you import it and then its done in the software on another track..Ive never tried that but it sounded pretty mint. I just wonder if the mac had anything to do with it, if you have a poor sound card/factory basic laptop stuff is there way to over come that?

If you only have a small (1/8") mic input on your computer then you're probably not going to have much luck.

Yeah thats all I have at the moment, if you use a usb device with a soundcard like a ux2 or those types does it bypass the internal sound stuff?

I can't get a decent tone from the POD to Sonar yet. Too harsh, dark and fizzy. I turned down the gain, but I dunno.
Anybody know what to do? I'm arming 2 mono USB pod tracks (left, right), but it's sounding very lo-fi :?
I did a rough copy for tone/recording scrutiny, it's basically what I'd play for this, but a rough cut.

Considering that in the past we have had guys plugging straight into PC and sounding mint, my suggestion is to STFU and ROCK!

I'll put some fresh strings on, these are f'd, and the battery could do with being change, then I'll STFU and rock like Dayl said
I think a bit of what is bothering me actually the Les Paul's dark squawky tone, POD presets don't seem to like it without some major adjustments. Pick flutter on a LP took a bit work to learn too.
