Ok, Samba Pa Ti jam... *Completed*
yeah a bit of the latin in the background, here is the starting track, but again if 8 people want to do it I can stretch it. I'd love another relatively fast turnaround (other than me of course!) no you don't have to do santana style, go with the flow of your creative juices (ib:jb;). I'll go first again, sometime this weekend , but lets have it sorted by new year? plenty more where this came from so if you don't think you'll get it done in time, let us know and we can get a stand in/shorten the track
Last one was a cracker, let this be the icing on the xmas cake
Thinking about it, getting it finished by tomorrow may be a good idea?

Keen. OK if I record something to that and send it straight to you to add into the final track? I'll be unable to do anything after the weekend.

I'd been keen to hear what you do over this, reckon the track would go well with your rather cool, melodic style.benderissimo wrote:Keen. OK if I record something to that and send it straight to you to add into the final track? I'll be unable to do anything after the weekend.
Don't want to hog space, as I was on the last one, but as long as I could chuck something up by Monday, I'd be keen.
Although this is so far out of what I'd normally play over, so I know mine will suck bad already, more than happy to step aside for others.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

To be honest, it's not really my thing- I prefer a strong groove to play off. I'll have a crack but usually I struggle a bit with this sort of thing. I'm almost tempted to lay down a Ukulele just to wind BG up

Man that's a cool track. I like the start before the samba beat comes in. Gonna record something for my own amusement over that bvit.
Yup - that's me and my pal Steve or little stevie vai as I like to call him. In Auckland airport when I was 26. I'm not 26 anymore.

Re: Ok, Samba Pa Ti jam... *Updated*
The only problem is that I like the intro bit ... the last bit (where it gets samba-y) I can't really play anything over it other than my usual tricks. Plus, I am always in these things ... would rather let someone else have a go if they want it. Of course if there's a spare hole ... I'll fill it.BG wrote:what, you don't want a spot? c'mon, I'm not feeling floydy
