I am a little confused (about a great many things) as to what to play over ... so I did a quick solo (with a nearly flat wah battery) is that the right time to play over?

Hell no ... you play great. You have some finesse and some gorgeous bends. My solo before that one (before the wah battery went flat) was much brighter and in your face.

Here's mine! Bits of widdly widdly here and there as usual, can't help myself. I think it's still quasi-tasteful though.

If anyone's interested, that was Wolfgang --> Line 6 DT25 (SLO model) --> Blackstar Artisan 2x12" --> CAD Trion 7000 ribbon, experimenting with the mic centred on the cab about a foot away.
