Here some (lousy) photos of today's 'get together'. Fewer people than last time, same amount of decibels.

I am sure better photos from others will follow... and apologies for the people who are shown sideways.... Haven't got a clue how to fix that.

Highlight for me, Slowies Strat with the newly fitted pickups played through Opencoil's Vox.

This was probably the best organised GFest ever. but in typical AK gear fest fashion, nothing ever turns out as expected.

Most notably, the loud room was quieter than the not so loud room.

Nobody brought anything remotely acoustic. So what was the fuss about. Was there a fuss? I can't remember.

I brought all the gear but didn't bother taking pics, video or recording.

I jammed. I never jam.

I enjoyed the jams. I never enjoy jams.

We had a proper sausage cooker.

We had cold drinks.

We had earplugs that nobody needed! What's up wit that?

The weather was shit, then it turned nice and mild and the verandah was a fine sociable place indeed.

I really enjoyed that whole day. :)

Jesus Christ. Far too many pictures with me in them.

Excellent day. Not too many people laughed publicly at my dreadful playing, always a plus. I was very impressed with the Dimarzio's in Slowfingers' Strat. Didn't expect them to sound that great, but they sound like proper single coils. Nice and clear and spanky, but also fat sounding and more than coped with driving the Vox without sounding asthmatic like some single coils do. And noiseless too which is a bonus.

Nice looking bass. I also like the simplicity of the headstock.

I thought your playing was pretty good, just lacking in confidence. Hit the note hard even f it's a wrong one. It it's wrong, bend it up and play it again ;).
