Does anybody have a Tube Screamer they could bring along? Trying to find the right pedal to go between the Strat and the Matchless and think a TS might be the way to go.
Cheers.

Thanks for that. Just put my Fulltone on TM.
Shouldn't have sold my old, old BOSS OD1. That thing worked well with everything.

Not a big fan of tubescreamers into vox amps, but some are, if John is coming he could bring his blood drive! Polar Bear loves his one into his AC30Molly wrote: Thanks for sorting that out. And thanks Dave too.

I prefer amp distortion, but I guess you really got to get the matchless boiling to get that eh!

Agree with you there. Sounds average at best going into the AC30, but it pairs bloody nicely with the Marshall. Really sweetens it up, smooths out the bottom end and seems to add a little more sustain which is always a good thingjeremyb wrote:Not a big fan of tubescreamers into vox amps, but some are, if John is coming he could bring his blood drive! With the humbucker PRS I can get it to overdrive pretty early but for lead it'd still a wee push.Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:Agree with you there. Re: Chch Gearfest Oct the 17th
So looking forward to this, whats everyone bringing?
I'll have my ryan built head and 1x12, my current pedalboard, and probably just the edwards, I've rewired it 50's style if anyone wants to see how much of a difference that gives over standard wiring in a 2 vol 2 tone guitar

Looking forward to hearing that amp again, I played it live at the Dux once through a Mesa cab and it sounded glorious!jeremyb wrote:So looking forward to this, whats everyone bringing?

I'm not sure what I'll be bringing, my pedal board and probably my friends AD30 combo I have on loan, possible a Vox AC30/6TB which is also on loan from a friend.

I'll bring the usual guitars (haven't bought a new one for a while now) plus my Mark V rig.
I'll bring along my AxeFx rig too, hopefully I'll have my power amp by then, other wise I might chuck my powered monitors in the car and you can see what it's like direct.
