Re: Gearfest New Plymouth
Indeed, it is a MW sponsored event. We would have liked to be involved but....well...it's a long story.rocklander wrote:thanks for that Matt... G-TARANAKI is still a musicworks sponsored event though eh... is that right? or are RS in there now too?
However, RS are still highly involved in a non-sponsorship role; by way of artist support. A number of international artists are relying on us for backline (and frontline) gear.
...and hey, just cos we're not "sponsors", doesn't mean I can't throw a bit of guitar porn around the place, right?

Re: Gearfest New Plymouth
Don't know who specifically "Frank" is, but I have this mental image of the Chairman of the Board shaking hands with Slash, now.
We'll never know, now, but it's a good question to my mind. What would a collaboration between Blue Eyes and Saul Hudson sound like?

To get to Gilmour St you go up Tukapa Street, past the hospital. Turn Right down Borrell Ave. Right at bottom of the hill. There might even be the bosses 1969 JMP lying around. There should be a few quads left, if G-Taranaki haven't cleared them all out.

Frank's the first person I visit whenever I'm in the Naki.
But 'Chairman of the Board'?
Nah.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Gearfest New Plymouth
Please forgive the thread hijack, but one of you Naki folks may be able to help. I was recently in 'Musical Services', I think it's called. Down by Govett Brewster. They had an old Harmony combo in for repair; apparently someone had bought it from a garage sale. Anybody know anything about this? I'd hate them to flick it without calling me first!
