It was a pleasure to meet you guys. Knew I should have hauled my gear on the bus haha.
I was really digging that Blackstar HT-20 with the 2x12!

Re: CHCH Gearfest 13th November -Confirmed
Great pics, however I think Darkness is actually Nightmare ... unless Nightmare changed his name to Darkness which would explain why I haven't seen Nightmare posting in a while. Sam is his real name.
So Mum's 60th was cool except for the flap that everyone got in ... 'what are you doing for the PA, when are you going to sort the PA out, what music are you going to be playing'
I think they forget that I deal with this sort of shit everyday ... getting a speaker, a mixer, a microphone and a laptop for music ... is not that much of a stress. In the end I started answering the questions with 'when does the 60th start? 7:30pm? Sweet, I'll think about it at 7pm'
Now, why the heck do gearfests have to be so f'n loud. I maybe a complete prat for saying this ... but I always find the amp demos too loud. But I'm too proud (or stupid) to say 'can you turn 'er doon a bet?' I was sitting slightly off centre when Pete was talking about his ... his ... amp with a big Z on it? Mazstrom? Anyways ... it was tearing my face off but TG was sitting dead centre and smiling ... as were most.
Having said that ... Kelly had some MEAN chops. Hella tasty player ... but sadly there were an extreme lack of Floyd Roses in the room. I think Jeremy was the only one and he had no whammy bar (which is sacreligious (sp?)).
Anyways great to see you all and it reminds what a good bunch of musicians always are.

Looks like a good time guys, some nice gear there. Still trying to get my head around that left-handed Razorback though...

I've got quite used to it, but it was really reassuring that nobody complained about the set up which I did all myself and I'm fairly happy with.
