I loved the walls of Orange and Vox.
Guitar of the day for me has to be the Helio(?) Ed picked up.
What a great guitar, nice score Ed and kudos to Ash for a mad skills.

I really liked the White Falcon of polar bear's, and comic sans aside I was impressed with the McPherson red booster.

The Orange Rockerverb 100 sounded great even through two walls, and tubeswell's Princeton clone with black paisley tolex was something special with bbrunskill playing through it. I wanted hamo to wear a pirate outfit when playing his rig of Pirates of the Caribbean guitar with Blackheart amp.
Heilo :) I'm really glad I got it too!

White Falcon, he wishes! It's not even a proper Gretsch  Actually, that guitar is really cool. Feedback skillz +10

He turned up to one of our Wellie gearfests and, as soon as I saw this stranger holding a box of Kilkennies, I knew who it HAD to be!
and with the emphasis on strange.....

Hi all..

great day thanks -my ears are onthe way back.......
Great to see people again and indeed for the first time.

+1 on the Hilo....nice gat. My favourite gat of the day was Eds PRS Studio.
As for the amps I ended up thinking it would be great to have them all hooked up onstage ...

Thanks Lawrence for sorting the venue, awesome times! Nik's Tele into the rocker verb, and the Crunchbox into the radio tone were amazing. The Radian bass is mindblowingly nice, easily one of the best basses I've ever played.

The Heilo is absolutely stunning, sounded great throu everything, beautiful finish, looks fantastic in the flesh too.

Nice pics and write-up of the G-fest Ed. Would be cool if you could come to AK for the next one in a couple weeks. :D

Yeah, same here. Esp. now that there's another bass player with gear to check out. It's been a bit dull, being surrounded by nothing but guitarists.

I'd love to, especially since I'm thinking about leaving Wellington in 2013. Count me in!

I think I've covered everyone now in the website post, and added in some pics thanks to Nik. :)

Oh, wow... where are you off to?

And it's a Hughes & Kettner, not a Galien Kruger, but it's close enough!

I think this is the first lot of gearfest pic's where there are no Van Halen pedals of some kind (usually a phaser is on at least one board) to be seen

No worries, I always forget it myself, even if I've been dragging that amp in and out of cars for years. One time we had to move house and my niece has this friend who works for a removals company and the guy, who's built like a cigarette machine wants to get in her good books so he offers to help. So he picks up my amp, this professional removals guy and the first thing that happens is that the Hughes and Kettner logo falls right off. It's the professional touch, I guess.

And it did him no good anyway because she caught him sniffing around in her panties drawer and banished him for several years.

But all those double barrelled names for amps... reminds me of this Steve Martin film where he's trying to find the church where The Girl is getting married (so he can tell her he loves her). He arrives at a church and asks "First Lutheran?" and the minister replies "No, Third Methodist".

No strats, either.
