How many in the Manawatu-Wanganui-Palmy-lower-Taranaki would be interested in a gearfest?

And does anyone have a suitable venue, or a lead on one?

I'm in the naki. So is crowbgood and pluckyboy. Got a good venue at the West coast school of rock. It's the same place where we had gearfest after gtaranaki. As long as their aren't heaps of us, it could be good. Just have to twist rimu's arm to let us use it.

Definitely interested, not been here long enough to help with venues though.

How long's the drive to Palmy from Wangas, NP and Hawkes Bay? If it's not too far it could be a good central point and could get some Welly peeps up too. Anyone got an in with Massey - they should have some space available...

Is Rog still working at Massey? They have a big hall next to the student gym and pub on campus, IIRC.

Haven't heard from him in a long while, but I think he'd moved on from there.

Still 2hrs from New Plymouth to Wanga's. Not sure if I could make it.

Will have one here next G-Taranaki (that's if our useless council could ever organize such an event with Gary gone)

6 hours driving in one day is probably a bit much for me.

I am also keen :D
Although Palmy may be central, I agree with John Cleese that it is the worst city in New Zealand.

Shit that's not bad. It regularly takes that long to get from Ponsonby to Parnell!
