Future whinging about volume levels at a gearfest will be ignored. ;)
+1

That was a bloody good room too :) perhaps we should just get that one in future and pile everyone into it :)

IMMENSE THANKS TO THE CAPTAIN FOR PUTTING THIS ON, He has pretty much single handedly organised the last few and has bore the brunt of some of the expenses too, I'd love to get a showing of the led zep film again but just on a night as an event maybe? With tickets paid in advance and shit... What I heard was AWESOME with a capital O.

maybe without the shit\
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Not a bad suggestion Beeg. I didn't realise before today but the lower homestead room is actually two adjoining spaces, so it might be a good option to try next time. Especially if the poor cafe upstairs has a cry. :D

I'm planning my 37th birthday for a couple of years time and I'd love to get that place and do a full band version of rocky horror. so we'd play the film to a song, band would play the song over the movie, film sound cuts back in. That space would be ideal :)

Just want to thank Ant, the Cappy, again, a sterling job as always and doesn't get the praise he deserves. I just turn up to these things, get ordered around, ignore the orders, drink kilkenny, go home.... He sorts all the shit, a good C indeed :)

yeah, cool day. Cheers to the Capt for getting it going.

Good to catch up with everyone, and meet a couple of new faces.

Ears are gonna need a couple of days to recover.

I was only able to stay for an hour and a half but it was a blast nonetheless. Had a quick fang on the Bogner and Superbass both of which I've been meaning to try for a while now. I was really impressed with JVPPs recycled flooring guitar. It looks and sounds great. Radiusing the fretboard and trimming some of the extra meat of the neck will likely turn that into an outstanding instrument.

Looked like fun! I was all set to pop in for a couple of hours but the missus decided having an argument was a better way of spending Sat afternoon...

Echoing everyone else, much thanks to the Capt for organizing a cool venue. Great to meet a bunch of you in person finally after so many years on the forum.

It was certainly an awesome experience to be able to play some great amps like higainer's stack of VHTs and BG's famed Bognor. The Bognor definitely oozed great tone, and at very manageable loudness levels (though it could certainly peel some paint when it wanted to). The VHTs were a new experience for me - such a dry gain. Very cool.

And the Superbass was of course... superloud. My Turkish workmate and his friend (those were the two randoms who showed up, btw) were so smitten with the amp that they basically spent half the afternoon in front of it.

I shall certainly be at the next one, probably with a camera this time. :) And I should have a much bigger pedalboard by then

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
