Today I learned...
*Resonators are heavy.
*6 packs don't last at gearfests.
*KT88's are the best thing in the world.
*The ol' blood drive is actually really cool too.

Big thank you to the Capt for putting this on.
Good to meet you Ed, that pedalboard sounded great.
Damn you for giving me Wolfie GAS.
Single Coils 900 clone was a big improvement on Marshalls offering of that model IMO.
Loads of volume, cutting without the harshness or fizzyness they sometime suffer from
I reckon combined with the pedals you had, it's a pretty versatile rig....that won't give you a hernia
BG's Bogner & Les Paul, phwoar.
Pics to come

Isn't it cool to say Bo_ner anymore?
Following on from that, I'd like pictures too... And a blood drive. And possibly a Bo_ner. But more likely whatever has KT88's in it.

Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

Re: AK Gearfest Dates. Pick one... UPDATED POLL
another great fest
Highlights for me - Listening to others play through the boner, its hard to become detached when you're tethered to it. And it was down at about 7 watts for most of the day
Cappy's Superbass as per usual, just to blast a powerchord or two was enough to stop ed widdling on slowys tele, thank god.
Ed's DT sounded too bloody good, and the blackstar 2x12 Don't think I got a listen to the slash amp Great to meet the Samurai in the 09 and when I was sober!
Singular Coil plugging out a bit of Lizzy, and then doing shreddy stuff. The horsie is bad though.
VHT's, espec KT88 coke bottles
The yamaha furniture corner It reminded me a bit of g-plan from the seventies
Jimis Bellbird and 0001 over by cappy, my happiest gigs were with a bellbird and M13. So easy Nothing ever sounds bad.
Everyone else I missed, I want to work with animals and children.
Oh and the three led zep songs I caught on the big screen before I went. Fucking awesome sound Black Dog should never be attempted live though lol, even by zep.

fuck slowy mate, you should reconsider your acoustic playing and the effect it has on people... including yourself, jeezis what were you playing???
*edit* it actually looks like a D, not even a minor. Bro I feel your pain!

AK Gearfest Dates. Pick one... UPDATED POLL
If I were to be ungracious, which I guess I am about to be, we hired an entire separate, really nice room just for acoustic players and quiet space. I don't think a single person went in there except when I had to get a chair.
Future whinging about volume levels at a gearfest will be ignored.
