I think the tron got to 21 people at one fest (with an average turn out of about 15), so unless you guys can quadruple your numbers the only thing you are holding are willies

yeah I love how the people who claim to have the best fests have never actually been to the best ones... that one at the Welly tennis club was the best ever :)

Aucks regularly pulled 30 people or so at Clockwork, three months in a row.

The only reason hamilton became a drawcard was because it was quieter - i.e. not as many people there. And unique brought antique instruments along.

So, Hamilton is a drawcard for being quiet and attracting old people. Who'd have thought it. Be saying that about Tauranga next.

Ok - checked with the music department at Wintec and I can get free use of this performance room:Image

... and this adjacent sound room: Image

There is a kitchen area as well where we can cook our sausies.

If that's not big enough we could try the Meteor theatre: http://themeteor.co.nz/use-the-space/
I think we could get the theatre and rehearsal space for $100-$150 for the day.

Use of Wintec buildings would preferably during semester break (late June/early July).

will have to be July - Mid Semester break means the room is empty.

Given the last # for the last 2 tron fests.. numbers weren't at all time highs..

more times to meet up and play gear.

Matman is seeing which dates are free then I guess we'll Poll
