I actually started automatically scrolling down a list of bars/venues in my head when I read the OP. Coupley ideas.GrantB wrote:One option is to consider holding it at a bar, a bit like the Ork Fest. Start at 11am, be done by 5pm. Food and booze and non-booze catered for. I thought it worked well at The Bollix.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I could be keen for a trip up the island if I'm not gigging that weekend.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I would be cool if you side by side tested a Katana against a tube Marshall. Let us know if the hype is justified.

pretty sure that challenge was issued to the kemper boys for the last Auckland fest, but none of them braved an appearance.
Shame... when else are you gonna have the chance to profile that line up of amps.

Haha. It's usually just knowing people who work at venues that helps.GrantB wrote:Si, gotta give you credit for the last few. Well done man.SimpleSi wrote:somewhere with Free parking, at least 10-12 car parks - not a second level with stairs.
