Re: SD + ASH = props
This is all a bit exciting. Seymour Duncan's media person posts interaction-seeking questions on Twitter daily and the other day it was, "What country makes the best guitars?"
I replied "New Zealand!" and linked to the best picture of a Duncan equipped guitar in my Flickr gallery. SD re-tweeted it and also posted it on FB and the stats went a bit nuts from there.
It's a very interesting study in the relative effectiveness of Twitter versus Facebook. The original tweet and Flickr link has resulted in one extra follower and about a hundred more views on the Flickr image. None of the other images have seen any boost in views, despite being readily accessible from the linked page. The FB post on the other hand, has collected over 2000 likes, 350 shares and 150 comments in less than 24 hours on a weekend. That's waaaaay more than the entire rest of my media put together. My FB page has gone from 605 like to something over 755 and people are clearly trawling through the FB galleries sharing and liking up a storm. Website traffic has quadrupled. Other interesting observation is that a whole lot of them are South American, at least half.

Re: SD + ASH = props
There are some interesting comments in there. Reading is obviously not everyone's first language. Lots of people seem to have read "what animal would you base a guitar on?" as "what animal do you think this guitar is based on?"willow13 wrote:man a lot of people calling it a black widow..........it is it's cousin but it sure isn't a widow
PS: Oh, an the many genius observers proclaiming "it's a lefty!"

Just goes to show, the social media thing is all about socialising stuff, and using the influencers.
