50ft lead is one way of dealing with too bright pickupsStrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 6:52 pm And this post has some very interesting stuff about the input impedence, buffering and using long guitar leads! Including brian etzers 50ft stage lead!

RobRoyMcCoy did a demo for NZG members a long, long time ago, when he owned Freedom Cables. It was really well done and he talked through a lot of stuff, short version of the demo was the guitar cable makes fuck all difference but the amp to cab cable makes a difference.StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 8:52 pmInterestingly it results in the opposite!jeremyb wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 8:28 pm50ft lead is one way of dealing with too bright pickupsStrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 6:52 pm And this post has some very interesting stuff about the input impedence, buffering and using long guitar leads! A longer cable has higher capacitance, therefore reduced treble, I dare say any increase is coming from pedals after it.StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 8:52 pmInterestingly it results in the opposite!jeremyb wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 8:28 pm50ft lead is one way of dealing with too bright pickupsStrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 6:52 pm And this post has some very interesting stuff about the input impedence, buffering and using long guitar leads!
