If you consider yourself a collector of Les Paul guitars and you don't have the Ultima, then you don't have the ultimate collection!
And here in lies the problem. If you are a LP collector and have more money than us mortals can dream about, the ultimate collectors LP has to be very different to the myriad of LP models Mr Average can (mostly) afford, so everyone knows at a glance you're silly minted. But tasteful has been done to death, so the only direction to go is... this guitar.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

"...to create without boundaries.." (inside the red card you get).

Looks like the body shape is a big "elephant in the room" boundary. As is the hardware, general principles etc....so let's face it, it's a Les Paul that's been destroyed by tasteless and tacky "art". I suppose art is subjective.

'If it aint broke, don't fix it' would be the term applied to most major guitar makers efforts when it comes to this kind of thing. As far as collectibility goes, guitars are made desirable by the musicians that use them. Musicians won't be lining up to buy this.

looks like a piece of French furniture. A tad on the gaudy side, but a nice bit of wood and the inlay is some amazing workmanship.

Oh and then ya have to pay a kings ransom for it being a Gibson.

Hmmm Was it ibanez or crafter that started the tree of life inlay... or someone other?

Hmm funny it looks just tiny bit like this..

Les is spinning in his grave, with a double twist and half-pike to finish!
