1960 Guyatone EB4
Here's another of my grandfathers guitars, one of the earliest bass guitars made by Guyatone.
I can't find much about them online but I know it is rare and a music store offered me a lot of money for it...
if any readers know anything about these please let me know

If it was a lot of money for a Guyatone you should have accepted it maybe?

Definitely a niche market.

Mr. Music came around to tune a piano and saw it sitting in the corner and said he collects vintage guitars and offered $2500 for it.
I can't find anything online about it(apart from this http://torchsvintageguitarresearchblog. ... dness.html) and hoped by posting on here someone could tell me more about it.

Call him back and take the cash. You could get a Les Paul with that kind of money! Guyatone, Zen-gar, Kawai etc were all made by the good folks at Teisco back in the 50's, 60's and 70's. See the guitar in my avatar? That's a Teisco SS-4L. Those along with the Teisco Spectrum 5's are pretty much the most desirable guitars that factory put out and if you're paying more than $1000 right now for either then you're paying too much. Don't get me wrong, that's a cool looking bass you got there but really it'd be worth $500 tops.mattm wrote:Mr. Music came around to tune a piano and saw it sitting in the corner and said he collects vintage guitars and offered $2500 for it.
