Charity shop score 20 bucks has to be 1950's antoria hollowbody guitar is going to make a great Grestch like Rockabilly project.
Im thinking flat top mount pickups and I could mount the electrics in a pickguard to keep the alterations to a minimum.
Added the GFS Trem that was lying around here 3 screws to the rear and no top fixing need.

Wow, what a score. It looks fantastic, I'm jealous!

I had a friend from jazz school who had one. Lovely guitar.

My dad actually has one that he got from his sister when he was a kid. I'd love to try restore it, but I'm pretty sure it's beyond that.

I've had no experience with them, but would one of those peizo bridges be cool on this guitar?

I have one of the schatten piezos on my 50s hofner, it's not that great a tone IMO and having the little cable running from the bridge to the f hole is maow. I'd leave it acoustic or go for a floating humbucker
