My Dad's 1977 Gibson ES355 w Bigsby
Despite my Dad still gigging with it most weekends it's amazingly in near mint condition. He bought it the year I was born and when it finally passes to me I have been instructed that it is never to be sold
It's' a seriously beautiful guitar, there's not a lot of the 355 Stereo's around compared to the more popular 335's. Just thought I would share with you all, chur chur MF.

Closest I can find of anybody using a similar guitar is Freddie King, who towards the end of his career (early-mid 70's) was using what I believe was a Gibson 345:

Cool. Bigsby or Maestro? I had a Stereo '74 for a long time. Loved the sound. Hated the neck. Story of my life. Good on your Dad for still gigging.

It's a Bigsby trem, I've never came across the Maestro's?
Wow, a '74... bet you wish you still had that guitar ?!

Nope... It was a good day when it left my house.
That Freddy King pic is a Maestro. The arm on your Dads gat looks the same. Will drag a photo of mine out sometime.

Hmmm, I don't know. Maybe the arm is a maestro then, I just know that the trem is a Bigsby and the arm is the original from when he bought the guitar. I'll ask him when I speak to him next Cheers MFGrantB wrote:That Freddy King pic is a Maestro. The arm on your Dads gat looks the same. Will drag a photo of mine out sometime.

I'm no expert, having never had one, but I think that's a maestro
