Cheers.

The Guy at Cadenza quoted me $1600 for a strat he had, a few weeks later I had the cash in my pocket and he wanted $600 more.
similar thing happened at Bungalow.
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

OP, seriously, if you're looking, I have a network of fellow vintage guitar nerds and we all have stock that rotates. Flick me a PM on what you're after.

Haha, kind of a matter of perspective I would call that vintage but I was born in the 90s. I think the word 'vintage' is fairly flexible, 1980 was 36 years ago!

Make sure you know what you want and do thorough research. Try before you buy, don't be afraid to haggle and remember that money talks. If you are serious then they will take you seriously. Buying vintage is a different game to your typical retail scenario.

Good call GrantB, I like the idea of moving stuff around within the "forum". Speaking of Cadenza, I had a similar experience at years ago (over 15 years) with a 68 Strat.

I have heard that he's a porn star. The guitars are just a prop.

I've bought and traded guitars with Eddie ( Cadenza guitars). All good guitars.

My Eddie at Cadenza experience.

Some 20 odd years ago i was selling a Fender classical guitar and took it to Eddie for appraisal. He offered me $600, and said he wanted it in his collection. I said I'd get back to him if I didn't get a better offer.

A week later I was back to see Eddie and he offered me $400, equal to another offer I had. So, not wanting to make a career of selling this 1 guitar, I accepted the $400. On my way out I turned to look at Eddie, but he didn't see me; he was giving a 2 handed air punch, and I thought, '...enjoy Eddie'.

Wouldn't it be easier if those guys could remember the prices they quote. Even better if they use a small sticker with the price written on it. Like every other guitar shop in the world.
