There's nothing saying (apart from bg) that a Bogner is a better amp than a Mesa. They sound different and if you like the mesa sound more then....

Absolutely, he has an amazing ear and as far as his instruments go he likes the good stuff.
Just didn't think he would go for the Mesa as he's always been a Marshall guy. He has a 45+ year old 50w Marshall head, KT66's and a handwritten serial number of 049 on the back. Says he still gigs it occasionally and has to crank it as 'they didn't make them as loud in those days'.
Some of the stuff he has lying around the house is literally insane.

Got a message from him earlier this week saying that he gigged it at the weekend. Had enough volume that he actually gigged it on the 10w setting ?!
